I partook in the 6 week intensive Krav Maga course, and I have never been so impressed. Not only do I feel better, more agile, and stronger I also look it. In 6 weeks, I lost 10lbs, two pants sizes and 2 dress sizes. Hany, the instructor, was amazing, motivating and knowledgeable, and a fearless leader that brought out the best in us. Whether it's for conditioning your body, losing weight, or self defense training, I would recommend EMA and Hany 100 times over!!
My son Patrick has been attending karate classes at Elite for the last two years. He is now five and has been accepted to their BBT program. All the teachers are awesome, they balance their expectations on age and make the classes fun but also teach discipline.
I just started my classes in Krav and I love it as well! I was worried to join as I am completely out of shape, never took any type of martial arts classes (my background is dance) and the fitness levels vary by student. However, I was welcomed with open arms by Sensei Hany and classmates. I already see my stamina building and look forward to the next class. I highly recommend these classes to get in shape!
I have been at Elite for 9 months now. I originally signed up for the 6 week Krav Maga challenge. My progress was slow at first since I was nursing an old injury, have bad coordination and had not exercised in many years. After 6 weeks, I felt stronger and faster with better mobility so I signed up for one year and have lost more weight than I expected. The Krav fit classes are high impact cardio exercises that have helped me lose weight. The Krav Maga classes are more technical which keep the workouts interesting and I feel like I'm working out with a purpose. I hate traditional gyms with stationary treadmills that face a wall and I run but don't go anywhere. It's much more enjoyable to kick and punch things, work on combinations and ground defense. These classes are addictive and fun. The instructors are knowledgeable and understand each students needs and abilities. They know when to push you when you need the motivation and when to hold back to prevent an injury. This is important for me as an older adult struggling with an injury. Some days I can't do as much as I'd like but I do what I can. Don't let age, illness or injury stop you from trying this school. The instructors will modify the exercises according to your ability. The other students are supportive, patient, encouraging and offer feedback whenever possible. There is great camaraderie and teamwork fostered at this school. I must admit, I was terrified to try this since I am extremely out of shape. The last time I exercised was in my high school gym class over 20 years ago. I'm so glad I took a chance and reached outside my comfort zone. My only regret is that I did not try this sooner. Hope this is helpful to someone! :)
I did the 6 week challenge and loved it. The instructors were hard and the work out was definitely a challenge but all of us had a fun and I would recommend it to jump start your exercise plan. Thanks Hany!
